LOS GATOS CRAFTSMAN: Backyard Patio, Retaining Wall, and Gardens

The craftsman style home sits on a large hillside property overlooking Silicon Valley. From a non-usable hillside, we designed and constructed fun outdoor entertaining area that would take advantage of the fabulous views.

We designed the backyard stone patio to transition from the old stone patio to the new stone patio. Twin fountains were also integrated into the retaining wall and garden balcony to visually extend the yard area with a small lawn.

The stone retaining wall was built with a custom outdoor kitchen with custom granite counters. The new terraced stairway provided access to the upper yard area. The custom fountain anchors the outdoor kitchen and provides a transition between the patio and retaining wall to the new patio, retaining wall and stair system.

We included raised wood planters for vegetables and cut flower gardening. The arbor has low voltage lighting in it for evening use, completing a stunning view of the Bay Area.
